Prior to her current appointment, she operated as a mental health counselor at Palouse River Counseling from 2011 to 2014 and at Quality Behavioral health between 2012 and 2013. In addition, she has also worked as a teacher in the Pullman, Colfax and Steptoe School Districts and at Spokane Community College. Likewise, she taught education psychology at Washington State University. As part of her dedication in the field, Ms. Miller also remains affiliated with the American Mental Health Counselors Association and the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association.

Ms. Miller began her career serving as a teacher’s assistant at her alma mater, Washington State University, in 2001. She previously pursued a formal education at the university, earning a Bachelor of Art in elementary education in 2000, an educational master’s degree in education administration in 2003, and a Master of Arts in community counseling in 2012. In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Miller is also a licensed mental health counselor. Adjacent to her primary vocational duties, she is also well regarded for her dedication to civic advocacy, volunteering with Courtyard Assisted Living, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and the Real Life Church in Moscow, Idaho. Inspired by her family, who raised her to prioritize her integrity and love for others, she attributes much of her success to her love of learning, motivated attitude, faith and the support of her husband as well as the hard work of her engaged and motivated clients. To wit, Ms. Miller is gratefulto have cultivated such a fulfilling career, and she looks forward to continuing helping others, consulting with organizations, public speaking and finishing the book she is writing on relationships.
