Having cultivated almost three decades of experience, Ms. Pawlak has excelled as the activity director at Paramount House Senior Living, where she has worked since 2017. She previously held the same position at several other assisted living facilities and organizations, including the Mesa Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center and Encanto Care Assisted Living. She originally began her career with the Alzheimer’s Residential Behavioral Unit in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1995. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Pawlak also honorably served with in the United States Army Reserves from 1998 to 2020, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan and achieving the rank of first sergeant before retiring.
Prior to beginning her career, Ms. Pawlak pursued a formal education, earning a bachelor’s degree in allied health at Mount Mary University in 1985, a bachelor’s degree in community health education at Purdue University in 1989, and a master’s degree in recreation management and tourism at Arizona State University in 1995. In addition to her academic credentials, she is also certified as a therapeutic recreation specialist. Adjacent to her primary interests, Ms. Pawlak remains an active volunteer in her local community, often donating funds to charitable organizations. In light of her many achievements, she attributes much of her success to her family, who supported her through all of her endeavors. In the coming years, Ms. Pawlak expects she will retire, though she hopes to continue assisting the residents and staff at Paramount House Living Center for as long as she is able.
