Cynthia J. Myers-Morrison, EdD, Food Addiction Professional and Professional Speaker, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in healthcare.

Ms. Myers-Morrison is a professional speaker who has been engaging public audiences since 2000. She is also an author and food addiction expert. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, she ran her own private practice in New Hope, Pennsylvania from 2000 to 2012. In 1998 and 1999, she worked as a summer school principal and assistant principal for Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, California. She was also an assistant principal for multiple Los Angeles schools. She taught students as an English and reading teacher for many years at multiple schools as well.

Ms. Myers-Morrison is a lifelong learner who began her education at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, completing coursework in holistic medicine for addition before subsequently studying at the University of California Santa Barbara from 1964 to 1966, completing coursework in school administration. She has never stopped learning, in fact, and has completed a number of different degree programs and courses to earn a number of certifications over the year. 

Ms. Myers-Morrison has authored multiple works, including full-length books and magazine articles. She volunteered with the Peace Corps in 1969 and serves on the board of trustees for the Food Addiction Institute. Her pet project is to make food addiction a part of how mental disorders and physical diseases are classified, a goal she will continue to work toward in the coming years.
