After obtaining an associate degree in physical therapy, Ms. Rabe subsequently earned a bachelor’s degree in health science with a pre-physical therapy track with high honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She then provided superior care as a licensed physical therapy assistant for more than two decades, since 2019 with Ascension at Home Together with Compassus. As a physical therapist, Ms. Rabe assists injured or ill people improve movement and manage pain and helps with preventive care, rehabilitation, and treatment for patients with chronic conditions, illnesses, or injuries.
Ms. Rabe originally thought she was destined to become a nurse because both her grandmother and her mother were nurses. In high school, she was assigned to choose a career and write a report on it. She read her friend’s report on physical therapy assistant, a job she did not know existed at that time. Her friend, on the other hand, read her report on being a registered nurse. Now, her friend is an RN, and she is a physical therapy assistant after evincing a passionate interest in the field. In the coming years, Ms. Rabe sees herself pursuing her doctorate. If that does not happen, her other plan would be to continue working in home care and to specialize in neuro-type treatments.
