Lisa Remshik, Manager of Clinical Operations at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pediatric health care management.
For over two decades, Ms. Remshik has provided superior care as an experienced nursing manager with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital and health care industry, skilled in nursing education, healthcare information technology (HIT) and health care management.
Following obtaining a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1997 from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, Ms. Remshik later continued her education with a Master of Science in nursing leadership and management in 2019 from Western Governors University in Millcreek, Utah. She holds several certifications in her field, including as a nurse manager, nursing professional development and pediatric nurse.
With Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston Hospital, Ms. Remshik excelled as a pediatric critical care nurse from 1997 to 2002, as clinical coordinator from 2004 to 2007, clinical nurse educator for the pediatric intensive care unit from 2002 to 2016 and as an administrative nurse from 2016 to 2019. Ms. Remshik was named manager of clinical operations in the pediatric intensive care unit in 2019 after one year as interim manager, in which she oversees a staff of approximately 100 team members and is greatly involved in daily operations of the unit and administrative aspects of the organization.
In tribute to her nursing and administrative work, Ms. Remshik has garnered numerous honors that include a nomination for the Celebrating Nurses Award given by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Nurse of the Year by March of Dimes. In addition, she was the recipient of the Beacon Award, Gold Status for pediatric intensive care unit expertise every year from 2018 through 2021.
Ms. Remshik attributes her success to her dedication to her co-workers and her team and her desire to do the best that she can not only for her patients but also for her staff. Additionally, she attributes her success to her current director for being supportive and helpful in making her successful. Ms. Remshik considers her career-best achievement to be her promotion as the manager of clinical operations of the pediatric intensive care unit with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In the coming years, she hopes to explore different opportunities professionally in different departments to see where she can be successful.
