Title: Founder
Company: Grey Matters of Carmel
Location: Carmel, Indiana
Courtney Boyer, Founder at Grey Matters of Carmel, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in treating stress and anxiety disorders.
In 2020, Ms. Boyer founded Grey Matters of Carmel, a premier clinic specializing in neurofeedback for the mitigation of symptoms related to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, apraxia, and migraines. She works with children and their parents by treating mood and behavioral disorders at the source to help them reach their full brain potential through neurofeedback therapy—a noninvasive, drug-free approach to mental health care.
Since 2006, Ms. Boyer has also prospered as the owner of Charley Grey, a firm that design and develops websites that attract, engage, and convert potential online customers into actual paying customers with a primary focus on the implementation of organic search engine optimization (SEO) enabling clients to stay on top of search results around their industry and location.
After obtaining an Associate of Science in nursing in 2011 from Ivy Tech Community College, Ms. Boyer continued her education with a Bachelor of Science in psychological science in 2018 from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She is pursuing dual board certification in Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) Analysis and Didactic Certification and holds certificates in medical neuroscience from Duke University, as a health and wellness coach and as a holistic nutritionist from American Fitness Professionals and Associates (AFPA), as a registered nurse and in systems administration from Microsoft. Her professional memberships include the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA), the National Association of Professional Women and the Indiana State Nurses Association.
Ms. Boyer became involved in her profession because of her passion for helping others, as a victim of drug abuse and sexual abuse. Through her resiliency, she persevered and decided to become an advocate for people who suffer from the same challenges that she had through her work in the allied medical field as a healthcare provider. Inspired by her passion in helping people, she decided to start her own neurofeedback clinic in order to help those who are in need.
Starting her own neurofeedback clinic, the Grey Matters of Carmel, in 2020 and managing it successfully has been Ms. Boyer’s most notable accomplishment. In the coming years, she hopes to open two more clinics for neurofeedback and to travel and educate others on neurofeedback, human behavior and trauma.
