Adalia Alexander, Mental Health Counselor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in counseling.
Obtaining a Master of Science in education, with honors, in 2015 from the University of El Paso, Ms. Alexander has enjoyed an exemplary career as a mental health counselor, helping patients work through issues such as depression, anger management, suicidal thoughts, parenting, aging, relationship problems, stress, addiction and self-image. The Consortium of Social Science Associations (COSSA) appointed her as a special advocate, in which capacity she served from 2018 to 2020, and she has captured a Distinguished Citizen Award by the Civilian Police Academy, Fire Academy and Citizens Academy for the city of Victoria in 2019.
Ms. Alexander attributes her success first to the support of her family and the support of her family, clients and mentors. Some of the things that she is most proud of include her family, especially for the support they have given her throughout her career, and her clients who are constantly fighting their own battles and getting the help they need.
In the coming years, Ms. Alexander would like to teach at a college or university and work with people with disabilities.
