Dr. Nwobi is a nurse, educator, and therapist with more than three decades of expertise in the healthcare field. She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in economics and education from Ahmadu Bello University and nursing from Excelsior College Albany, and completed a Master of Science in clinical psychology at the University of Lagos. Dr. Nwobi continued her education at the University of Nigeria, where she earned a Master of Business Administration in management and a Doctor of philosophy in guidance and counseling in 1995. For over 15 years, she was a lecturer at the University of Nigeria, and she began her clinical work as a nurse at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Nwobi is the founder and president of Mobi Foundation International, Inc., a healthcare mission serving communities and local clinics in Nigeria. Foundation staff include physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, Dr. Nwobi is proud to offer optometric and vision care services to the organization’s patients. She is the seven-term past president of the New Jersey Counseling Association and the former secretary of the Nigerian Nurses Association of New Jersey. Dr. Nwobi is a frequent presenter at ECA conferences and is the principal author of six publications.
