Title: Registered Pharmacist

Alan Roach, BSPharm, RPh, Registered Pharmacist at the Methodist Hospital of Dallas, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Providers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in hospital pharmacy.
As a child who was frequently sick, Mr. Roach was constantly prescribed various medications to relieve his ailments. Though he dreaded visiting the doctor, he was inspired by the pharmacists at the drug store who provided him with his antibiotics. He set a goal for himself to become a pharmacist with the intention to serve as a beacon to those who needed hope. He thereafter obtained a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from South Western State University in 1983. Throughout his career, he has consulted with scores of patients to provide them with the proper medications.
Mr. Roach is proud to have stopped overdoses of certain medications at the retail and pharmacy levels. Additionally, he is credited with preventing two drugs that were not supposed to be in the same IV tube to run concurrently. Above all, he is gratified when patients listen to his directions during consultations. Throughout his career, he has maintained affiliations with the American Pharmaceutical Association, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American Society of Health Professionals, the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Though he is proud to have retired in 2020, he plans to continue his studies to obtain an additional degree in geography.
