Likewise, Dr. Edusei has distinguished herself as a licensed practical nurse for a number of medical organizations, such as the Veteran Administration of the Bronx, New York, the State University of New York Upstate Medical University and a self-employed nurse in numerous capacities.
Well regarded for her indelible contributions to the field, Dr. Edusei has garnered several awards throughout the course of her career. Among them, she is an honorary inductee with the Providers of Excellence by the International Nurses Association, and received a leadership accolade during her doctoral studies in 2010. Moreover, she received a Golden Seal Award in recognition of her exemplary talent from New York University. To remain aware of developments in the field, Dr. Edusei maintains her affiliation with such organizations as the American Health Information Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Likewise, she is a member of the honorable societies of Alpha Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Omega, Delta Sigma Theta and Psi Epsilon Sigma.
Dr. Edusei first sought an education at the State University of New York’s College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville, from which she received an associate’s degree in financial mathematics in 1990. After undertaking a psychiatric internship in addiction counseling through the Pibly Residential Programs Inc. from 1994 until 1996, she studied at Excelsior College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology. Additional college degrees to Dr. Edusei’s credit includes a Master of Business Administration at the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from New York University, a Bachelor of Science in quantitative economics from Queens College and a Doctor of Health Care Administration at the University of Phoenix.
