Dianna M. Hack, Pharm.D., BCPS, Pharmacist at York Hospital, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmacy.
During her high school years, Dr. Hack worked as a pharmacy technician and discovered a love for the pharmacy environment. After earning an Associate’s degree in liberal arts and sciences from SUNY Broome Community College in 1999, she went on to achieve a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Albany College of Pharmacy of Union University in 2005. Dr. Hack commenced her career as a pharmacist at Rite Aid in Saco, Maine in 2005, going on to serve as a clinical staff pharmacist at Southern Maine Health Care for 10 years until 2016, where she specialized in renal and kinetic dosing, anticoagulation monitoring, pain management consults and multi-disciplinary rounds. Until 2018, she worked for the State of Maine as a state of man contract pharmacy inspector before joining York Hospital in 2011 as a pharmacist to the Berwick Walk-In Clinic, remaining until 2020.
Licensed in both Maine and New Hampshire, in 2013, Dr. Hack became certified as a pharmacotherapy specialist by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties and in basic veterinary compounding by the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists. Taking her expertise to the classroom, she was a guest lecturer at the University of New England’s College of Pharmacy in 2014 and 2015. Presently, she holds membership with Rho Pi Phi’s Beta Chapter. Likewise, she serves as vice president and a board member of Friends of Salmon Falls Library, as well as maintains affiliation with the American Red Cross and Adopt-A-Highway. Dr. Hack attributes her success to the endless support and encouragement from her parents and friends. In five years’ time, she hopes to take on an additional specialization in a hospital setting.
