Rossana Osso-Iacono, PharmD, Supervising Pharmacist at Value Drugs, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmacy.
Inspired by a family friend who was a distinguished pharmacist, Dr. Osso-Iacono went on to achieve a Doctor of Pharmacy, cum laude, from St. John’s University in 2005. Upon excelling at her internships at Columbia Presbyterian and Walgreens, she became employed by a local community store as a staff pharmacist for five years. Since 2011, Dr. Osso-Iacono has served as a supervising pharmacist at Value Drugs in Bronxville, New York. In her role, she counsels on prescriptions, handles auditing inquires and oversees the staff. In addition, she immunizes their patient base and schedules one on one appointments to ensure patients are receiving proper care and medications.
Likewise to her primary role, Dr. Osso-Iacono doubles as an independent consultant and has created an online continuing education program on reproductive health in teens for the New York City Department of Health. For four years, she has served as the continuing education chair for the Italian American Pharmacist Society, in which she had also been the third vice president. Notably, she was the recipient of an Academic Achievement Award from the society. Additionally, Dr. Osso-Iacono maintains affiliation with the Pharmacists State Society of New York and Pharmacy Society of the City of New York. Looking back on her illustrious career, she is most proud to influence patient’s lives on a daily basis by providing them their necessary medication in order to live a healthier life. By working at a community pharmacy, she is able to build relationships with patients and feel even more fulfilled in her work. In her free time, Dr. Osso-Iacono enjoys taking spin classes and going for long walks.
