Gracelia Scott, Certified Surgical Technologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in labor and delivery.
Since 2001, Ms. Scott has flourished as a certified surgical technologist operating at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. Prior to this appointment, she had found success as a nurses’ aid with the aforementioned hospital between 1988 and 2001. An expert in labor and delivery for more than 30 years, she has been incredibly proud of her hard work as a part of her current unit during the day shift and appreciates the opportunity to learn from doctors and surgeons in her practice. Moreover, Ms. Scott obtained her certification within her discipline at New York University in 2001.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Scott has been featured in Surgical Tech Magazine and recognized as the Employee of the Year by NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. Attributing her success to her exemplary work ethic, which she inherited from her mother, she initially aspired to become a brain surgeon. However, her diagnosis for dyslexia prevented her from advancing in the field of healthcare, resulting in her paving out her unique professional path. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in athletics and riding her Harley Davidson. Looking toward the future, Ms. Scott hopes to reduce her full-time professional activities while volunteering in her community, as well as mentoring the next generation of surgical technologists.
