Susan L. Rabinowitz Davis, Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Family Therapy Institute, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements and leadership in social work.

With 55 years of professional experience, Ms. Davis has been the co-founder and co-director of the Family Therapy Institute since 1978. Prior to obtaining her current roles, she was a co-leader of the parent-student group at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools in 1972 and a clinical instructor with Northwestern University Medical School from 1969 to 1970. From 1968 to 1969, she was a social worker for Case Western Reserve University and, from 1967 to 1968, she was a field worker for Bryn Mawr College. Earlier in her career, Ms. Davis was a field worker for the Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute from 1966 to 1967 and a caseworker for Philadelphia General Hospital from 1965 to 1966.

Ms. Davis first pursued an education at the Connecticut College for Women, where she obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy in 1964. She continued her studies at Bryn Mawr College, earning a Master of Social Services in 1968. A fellow of the American Orthopsychiatry Association, Ms. Davis is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Academy of Certified Social Workers and the American Family Therapy Association.
