Title: Retired Clinical Nurse Specialist
Company: St. Cloud VAMC
Location: St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States
James Tembrock, Retired Clinical Nurse Specialist at St. Cloud VAMC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements and leadership in nursing.
A leading expert in the field of nursing, Mr. Tembrock is now retired, having been a nurse specialist in long-term and hospice care for the St. Cloud VAMC. In addition to his primary role, he has been an active member of his community. The co-founder of the Human Rights Center at St. John’s University, he served on the veteran’s hospital institutional review board and is the former vice president of the Minnesota Student Nursing Association. He is a former editor of the Minnesota Student Nursing Association newsletter, the Kappa Phi newsletter of Sigma Theta Tau and the Outright newsletter, as well as a former associate editor of the Human Life newsletter.
Mr. Tembrock began his career with the intent to become a priest. He joined St. John’s University, obtaining a Master of Theology. He found that he could better help people as a health care professional, so he began to study health care, finding that it was difficult for a man to be accepted in the field. He persevered, earning a Master of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica. For his contributions to the field, he received a Performance Award from St. Cloud VAMC.
