Passionate about helping others, Ms. Shain-Alvaro has dedicated herself to their field of healthcare. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1975, a Bachelor of Science and Physician Assistant certification from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 1978 and a completed a Post Graduate Surgical Residency for Physician Assistants at Montefiore Medical Center & The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York from 1979 to 1981. Upon completion of the residency, Ms. Shain-Alvaro worked as Physician Assistant for organizations such as North Shore University Hospital (now Northwell Health) in Manhasset, New York, University Radiology Group in East Brunswick, New Jersey, St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in New York City, the Medical Department at Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc., in Jersey City, and Premise Health, Inc. in the Medical Department for the Bank of New York in both Jersey City and New York City locations.
Furthermore, Ms. Shain-Alvaro has been a senior Physician Assistant at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City, the Global Tuberculosis Institute within New Jersey Medical School, and the Division of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. She has also served as a Licensed Medical Officer for Passenger Cruise Ships in Miami, Florida, a medical consultant at The Floating Hospital and Bankers Trust Company in New York City, and a Clinically Advanced Physician Associate of Orthopedic Oncology Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Shain-Alvaro has been a healthcare liaison for her personal business since 2001, as well she has been trained and volunteers as an end of life Doula through Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey. Her excellence in the field of healthcare has afforded her inclusion in Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in The World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who of American Women, and Who’s Who in The East.
