After earning a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and serving in the Israel Defense Forces, Dr. Jensen came to the United States and started attending Yale University. He earned a PhD in 1986, and studied as a postdoctoral fellow at the Yale Bush Center for Social Policy and Child Development until 1987. He served as both a lecturer and associate research scientist during his studies at Yale, and became the director of Delphi Health & Science in 1988. In 1987, Dr. Jensen started as the director of the International Center for Cognition and Learning, and in addition, he began working as the chairman and chief executive officer of Cognitive Education Systems. In 1989, he became a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia, a certification he holds to this day. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and has conducted research on the role of psychobiological factors in health and illness, cognitive and knowledge structure development, and change models in school psychology and education.
Dr. Jensen developed the MindLadder family of programs for child, family, school, and community development, and created the enterprise learning model for adult learners. He has written a variety of articles in numerous publications, and authored “The Mind’s Ladder: Empowering Students in the Knowledge Economy.” He has worked as a clinical psychologist at Focus Forward Counseling and Consulting since 2013, and plans to maintain a full clinical schedule in the future. He also aims to update some of the programs he developed in his early career for the modern internet ecosystem. As a testament to his success, Dr. Jensen has been featured in the third edition of Who’s Who Among Human Services Professionals, the 16th edition of Who’s Who in the World, the fourth edition of Who’s Who in Medicine and healthcare, and the 26th edition of Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.
