Title: Family Nurse Practitioner
Company: A New Creation Women’s Clinic
Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States
Cheryl Abraham, Owner and Family Nurse Practitioner at A New Creation Women’s Clinic, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership as a nurse and health care provider.
Ms. Abraham studied at St. Petersburg College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. As an RN, she worked at an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Florida, until the recession forced her and her husband to move in order to pursue new career opportunities. Before she left, however, her boss made her promise that she would go back to school and continue her education. After arriving in Arizona, she made good on her promise and went on to earn a Master of Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Phoenix in 2014. To this day, Ms. Abraham credits her boss in the ICU as a mentor in her career, as he pushed her to continue her education, which helped to revitalize her career.
In 2016, Ms. Abraham acquired A New Creation Women’s Clinic from the prior owner, who was going to shutter the business. Through hard work, dedication, and a deep knowledge of healthcare practices, she was able to turn the clinic around, and preserve the legacy of service to the women of the community. She took the clinic from the brink of collapse to success, and continues to grow the business. Now, she is looking to find a larger space, and possibly open a second location, so that she can help more women get the healthcare services they need. Ms. Abraham is a member of the American Heart Association and American Cellular Association and was recognized for her excellence and service with an award for Outstanding Health and Wellness by the Tucson Local Media in 2018.
