Dr. Arnold is highly regarded in the health care field for his blend of medical expertise, cross disciplinary knowledge and his ability to listen intently to his patients needs. “Our patients are our best teachers,” he says, adding that you can learn exactly what is going on by paying attention to their signs and symptoms rather than relying on what was written in a textbook. Dr. Arnold demonstrates an expertise in medical speech pathology. In particular, he specializes in diagnosing and treating physiological disorders of the upper air digestive tract including but not limited to swallow disorders, reflex disorders, voice disorders, cough disorders, residence disorders and breathing disorders. His work in this area over the last thirty years has led him down the path of finding a better way to diagnose and treat physiological disorders of the upper digestive tract. Today, Dr. Arnold is the chief clinical officer for Southeastern Biocommunication Associates LLC, where he leads his team in the development of a differential diagnostic rhythm that is the first of its kind. This new approach to medicine will allow physicians to see a snapshot of the physiology of the entire upper air digestive tract from the mouth to the stomach, which includes the esophagus, trachea. At the same time, this new design will screen for the presence of lower GI pathology that may be manifesting itself as signs and symptoms of physiological dysfunctions of the upper air digestive tract.

In recognition of his professional excellence in his career and for his immense contributions to the field of physiological disorders related to the upper GI tract, Dr. Arnold has been honored with several accolades. Notably, he was the recipient of a Distinguished Clinical Achievement Award from the Speech and Hearing Association of Alabama. He earned an ACE Award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and obtained a grant from NovaCare in order to further his research. When asked of his accomplishments, Dr. Arnold credits his success to his experience and the foundation that his education laid for him. He holds a Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Science from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi. He is a board-certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders accredited by the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. He established his career in 1990 as a staff speech pathologist for New Medico in West Palm Beach, FL. From there, he came to prominence in his early role as a direct care provider for NovaCare, where he developed its endoscopy program. Thereafter, Dr. Arnold achieved success as the vice president of clinical services at Restore Therapy Services before stepping into his current role. As he looks ahead to the future, Dr. Arnold hopes to establish a free-standing upper digestive tract clinic as it is a need in his community that is not currently being fulfilled to its fullest potential.
