Cathleen Carpenter, Associate Clinical Director of Child Counseling and Behavior Therapy Clinic, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
With more than 35 years of professional experience, Ms. Carpenter has been associate clinical director of Child Counseling and Behavior Therapy Clinic since 2013. Prior to obtaining her current role, she was clinical director of Inclusive Education and Community Partnership from 2006 to 2013, a resource specialist with Simi Valley Unified Schools from 1992 to 2003, and 4-6 learning handicapped teacher with LA Unified Schools from 1989 to 1992.
From 1987 to 1989, Ms. Carpenter was a K-2 coordinator with Ribet Academy, where she also served as an elementary school. Earlier in her career, she was an educational therapist with Cripple Creek-Victor schools from 1985 to 1987, having been a music teacher since 1982. Ms. Carpenter began her career as a student at the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1982. She continued her education with California State University, Northridge, completing a Master of Arts in 1993. She is a board-certified behavior analyst with St. Cloud University.
