Dr. John Edward Jamieson, Jr., Chaplain at Holy Redeemer Hospice, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Providers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care and spirituality.

With more than 40 years of service, Dr. Jamieson’s latest position as chaplain of Holy Redeemer Hospital brings his prior experience as the director of patient support and pastoral care at Atlanticare front and center. He has also served as a paramedic with the Mobile Intensive Care Unit of the West Jersey Health System, operations coordinator for the Emergency Medical Services Division of the Agency for International Development of Ambulance Service, and as a pastor with the Hammonton Baptist Church, St. Mark’s Reformed Episcopal Church, and the Trinity Reformed Episcopal Church.

With a desire to help others developing at an early age, Dr. Jamieson first earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania before receiving a Master of Divinity from the Reformed Episcopal Seminary in 1970. He furthered his education at the Christian Bible College, receiving a PhD in 1990. Throughout his career, he has maintained affiliation with a variety of organizations that have aided in his professional development. He is a fellow and board certified expert for the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and he has been involved with the American Association of Christian Counselors, the Southern Jersey Ethics Alliance, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc., and the National Center for Crisis Management. Furthermore, he is a Master Chaplain with the Federation of Fire Chaplains.
