Betty VanDiver, Retired Protective Services Professional, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Providers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in protecting children and making a difference.
Ms. VanDiver became involved in her profession because she loved children and wanted to help others. While working, her interests were sparked to get into more of a role with the correctional facility so she could make a bigger difference and impact young people in changing their lives. She went back to school, enrolled with the Cabinet of Justice and received a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Kentucky University. She went to college for the first time for nursing, because of her love of caring for the aging population. One of her first jobs was working with older people in occupational therapy. In addition to a bachelor’s degree, Ms. VanDiver has an Associate of Arts and Licensed Practitioner Nurse from Eastern Kentucky University.
In addition to her career in child protective services and occupational therapy and nursing, Ms. VanDiver has enjoyed the work of being involved in youth councils. She has mentored many children and young adults. Furthermore, she is a supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She is a member of the NAFE, the National Rifle Association of American, and Order of the Eastern Star.
