Christina G. Hoagland, BSOT, OTR, Retired Occupational Therapist and Industrial Drafter, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Providers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in occupational therapy and brain injury.
A dedicated health professional, Ms. Hoagland began her career as an occupational therapist with Yuka Mission Hospital in Zambia. She has since held various occupational therapy positions with Hinsdale Sanitarium and Hospital, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Rancho Los Amigos, Corona Community Hospital, Linda R. Brown, Hilltop Rehabilitation Hospital, and St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Center. Prior to joining Grand Junction Community Hospital in 2000, Ms. Hoagland served as an occupational therapist and independent living skills training supervisor with Interim Home Health Care.
A Registered Occupational Therapist, Ms. Hoagland received a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from Loma Linda University in 1975. She went on to attend Mt. San Antonio College, where she completed an Associate of Science in industrial drafting technology in 1985. In 1989, following four years’ work as a drafter, she transitioned back into Occupational Therapy, focusing on brain injury recovery. Ms. Hoagland attained AACBIS – Certified Brain Injury Specialist in 2007.
A leading expert in the medical community, Ms. Hoagland maintains involvement with the Western Colorado Center for the Arts, the Occupational Therapy Association of Colorado, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the National Museum of Women in Arts. She was recognized as a charter board member of the Colorado Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund from 2005 to 2010.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hoagland has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who of American Women, and Who’s Who in the World. She was most recently selected for inclusion in Who’s Who of Professional Women in 2017.
