Steven Leroy Martinson, MSW, Health Services Administrator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Providers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Medicine.
Mr. Martinson has been a substance abuse program coordinator of the Kern View Community Mental Health Center and Hospital since 1976, and uses a team approach with his colleagues as the director of the alcohol and drug program for Kern County. His work has been supported by grant funding from the Kern County Mental Health Services Building. Mr. Martinson has lent his support as a member of the Association of California Drug Abuse Program Coordinators, and formerly as a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the California Drug Abuse Program Coordinators.
Mr. Martinson has appeared in the 20th Edition of Who’s Who in the West and the first edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America. He earned an AB from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a MSW from Florida State University in 1974. He was a psychiatric social worker and mental health planning analyst with the Kern View Community Mental Health Center and Hospital before assuming his current role. Mr. Martinson is also a lifetime member of Optimist International and a member of the East Bakersfield Optimists.
